So, yesterday was an amazing day with Halloran on her second birthday! Two years ago, I could not fall asleep. I was having contractions starting at around 10 pm. I laid there, got up, laid there, got up. And with so many false alarms before that (3 pre-term labor visits in the middle of the night-all snow storms, one involving my MIL getting stuck in the road), I wanted to make sure that this was it! So finally at around 1:30 am, I told Tom, call the neighbors, we gotta go! Needless to say, he did not believe, but he diligently obeyed! So our neighbor Katie came over, and we left. When we were in the truck on the way, I knew this was it. The contractions were almost unbareable, and I was having a hard time taking deep breaths. We were up in a room by 2:15 am. About an hour and a half later I had an epidural, and about 10-15 minutes later...I had Halloran in my arms! No lie!
