My 5 year anniversary!

Today is my five year anniversary. First, I will talk about anniversarys past. I think one had been spent at a bed and breakfast. Others at fancy restaraunts and shopping. One year I got a gorgeous necklace with one single pearl and aquamarine stone that adorned it.

Do you want to know how it has evolved. Today so far, I got the kids up and ready for daycare, as usual. Next, I called Tom quick on the way to work, where he answered the phone by saying, "Happy Anniversary...haha, beat you to it."
Next I did some work and went to meeting that I got pulled out of due to a client crisis in Mille Lacs County. We have to go up to Milaca to assess the situation, so I quick ran my vehicle over to my sister's work, and sway vehicles so she can pick my kids up from daycare. So then, I'm hoping that the assessment does not take long, so I can get back to town by 4:30pm so that I can pick Tom up at home and make it to our ultrasound appointment at 5:15pm (I had originally thought it would be a little romantic to go to our final child's ultrasound on our anniversary). Then, following our appointment, we are going out for dinner. Still deciding where to eat, because we want to assess how tired we are by the time evening comes.

Happy anniversary....5 years.

There are two kinds of people: Part One

This topic has been on my mind for quite a few years, and I always tell my ultra hip (yeah right) self, that I should write about it. So finally, after this last revelation that, yes, there are two kinds of people in this world, I needed to get it off my chest. There are two kinds of people in this world. "But Megan?" you quickly rebut, "No there's not! There are so many kinds of people in this world. Short people, tall people, loud people, introverted people, French people, people who like food, people who are allergic to grass, dog people, cat people, this list is endless." And to you I say, "Well of course." But  here's the deal. When it comes down to it. We are all, but one of two kinds of people. And I'll kindly, yet firmly, break it down for y'all. There are two kinds of people in this world. And you WILL fall under one of these categories. Are you ready? Here, I'll set the scene. You are walking down the sidewalk....

There are two kinds of people: Part Two - The non-movers

Coffee cup in one hand, veggie/fruit smoothie in the other. No seriously, that's what I have on each side of me as I write. I'm smiling because of how funny this is, as it seems to also relate to this conundrum of a topic before us. There are two kinds of people, and there are definitely two kinds of beverages.  My caffeinated beverage on my left brings me a one sided joy that I cannot even begin to detail. I love my coffee. And I really do think it loves me back. At least for a while. As I peer out of the corner of my eye to the right, I see the greenish grainy drink to my right. Today the fennel seeds in it do not make it seem as dirty  I mean, like I just gathered them from the dirt without rinsing and sprinkled them in there kind of dirty. Maybe it was the splash of OJ I decided to add to it this morning. Now, I know that this drink loves me. It is good for many aspects of my life. Health, energy, sustenance, power. But I do not enjoy it as much. When I make my ...

Who did we welcome home TODAY????

Shelby Capri Bergman 6 lbs. 5 oz. , 19.5 inches long May 30th, 2008 10:52 pm I just want you all to know that everything went picture perfect. She's beautiful, she's healthy and she's very content. I don't have a ton of pictures yet, my mom took pictures during delivery and I took some today when we got home, but since we don't have internet at home now, it will be slow coming! I had my membranes stripped at 9:45 am on Friday. Afterwards, Tom and I went to Walmart, Applebees's, my sister's classroom to help move some stuff (I supervised... I was a little sore), and then home. I took a nap and Tom started getting ready for supper. His 4 hour long, grilled ribs...and that is how the story begins! So we keep joking that I am going to go during his first trial run with the ribs. This starts at around 3:30 pm. Then, we run out of propane and start all over a...
